Center Hosting Series of Ag Law Producer Workshops in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Arkansas


The National Agricultural Law Center is hosting a series of producer workshop meetings throughout Louisiana, Mississippi, and Arkansas that will focus on farm bill reauthorization, federal crop insurance, environmental regulation, and other current legal and policy issues of direct interest to producers.

The producer meetings are provided with generous support from the Banks Law Firm, PLLC, a firm that focuses on representation of agricultural producers, plaintiffs' damage claims, commercial disputes, and white collar criminal defense. 

The first workshop will be held in Delhi, Louisiana on October 23.  Additional workshops are currently scheduled for Clarksdale, Mississippi on November 1 and Stuttgart, Arkansas on November 6.   For additional information or inquiries regarding the workshops, please contact Center Director Harrison Pittman at hmpittm@uark.edu or (479) 575-7640. 

Workshop presenters will be Center Director Harrison Pittman and Grant Ballard, Center Research Consultant and Associate with the Banks Law Firm, PLLC. 

The gift was provided by the Banks Law Firm, PLLC to provide a legal educational series for producers and to help publicize the 25th Anniversary of the National Agricultural Law Center at the University of Arkansas.  Located in Fayetteville, Arkansas the Center is a unit of the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture and serves as the nation's leading source of agricultural and food law research and information.
