Subject Description: Conservation programs are voluntary federal programs designed to encourage agricultural producers and landowners to undertake conservation practices on agricultural lands. This subject area will track news and developments in this area and provide a meaningful resource, along with the Conservation Programs Reading Room published by the National Agricultural Law Center, for policymakers and others as expiration of the 2008 Farm Bill approaches in coming years.
