February 19-21, 2010 the University of Arkansas system is hosting a workshop at the Winthrop Rockefeller Institute that will provide a “hands-on, three day retreat that will inform and educate participants about the opportunities agritourism presents for: economic and community development; sustainable agriculture; wildlife habitat management practices; and youth education.” Those interested in these topics should consider attending, but hurry, the registration deadline is Wednesday, February 17, 2010.
The workshop is collaborative effort between Audubon Arkansas, 4Sight Development, Arkansas Agritourism Initiative Partnership, University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture, the National Agricultural Law Center, and Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism.
