USDA Announces Position Opening in Energy Policy

USDA has announced a vacancy for the Director of the Office of Energy Policy and New Uses.  This position is within the Office of the Chief Economist.

This is a "Senior Executive Service (SES)" position, which is not graded, and the salary range is $119,554-$179,700 per year.  The position is open from August 10, 2010 to September 14, 2010 and is located in the Washington DC Metro Area.

The Office of the Chief Economist (OCE) "advises the Secretary on the economic implications of policies and programs affecting the U.S. food and fiber system and rural areas as well as coordinates, reviews, and approves the Department's commodity and farm sector forecasts.  OCE supports USDA policy decision making by analyzing the impact of proposals and coordinating a response among several USDA agencies."
