2011 National Extension Risk Management Education Conference

The 2011 National Extension Risk Management Education Conference will be held on April 12-13 at the Hilton St. Louis at the Ballpark in St. Louis, MO.

All private and public sector educators, crop insurance agents, lenders, and other agricultural professionals are welcome to attend.  A Pre-Conference Seminar will be offered on the afternoon of April 11, 2011, which will revisit "Ag Transitions" with an emphasis on new tools that have been developed.

The Conference website will be available here on November 15, 2010 and a call for Papers and Posters will also be issued on November 15.

Extension Risk Management Education "provides training that improves the ability of agricultural producers and their families to effectively manage risk."  Training addresses five general types of risk including: production risk, price or market risk, financial risk, legal risk, and human risk.
