Dr. Milo Shult Named to Arkansas Agriculture Hall of Fame

Former Vice President of the University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture Dr. Milo Shult will be inducted into the Arkansas Agriculture Hall of Fame on March 11. The induction luncheon will take place at Embassy Suites in Little Rock.

The Agriculture Hall of Fame is comprised of people whose leadership and service have benefitted agriculture within the state. The Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce and Arkansas Farm Bureau sponsor the Hall of Fame to honor those who have made significant contributions to Arkansas' largest industry, agriculture.

In addition to his work with the Division of Agriculture, where Dr. Shult was responsible for both the Agriculture Experiment Station and the Cooperative Extension Service, he has held many other leadership positions. He served as Chair for the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities' Board on Agriculture and Farm Committee and is a past president of the Southern Association of Agricultural Scientists. Additionally, he has served on the USDA Natural Resource National Initiative Task Force and the National Agriculture Library Board of Directors as well as the 4-H Natural Resources Program Steering Committee.
