A panel of presenters will examine "Agriculture as a Provider of Environmental Services" at today's Farm Foundation Forum. The panel will discuss current and future programs that affect the environment and is made up of four speakers, each with different perspectives on the issues that surround agriculture and the environment.
The panel includes Curtis Watson, a Minnesota farmer who is involved with a phosphorous trading program; Sara Lynch, who works with the World Wildlife Fund and is involved with the Florida Ranchlands Environmental Services project; A.G. Kawamura, whose experience as a former California Secretary of Agriculture will frame his discussion of the Solutions for Land project; and Rick Knight, a professor at Colorado State University who teaches Wildlife Conservation.
The Forum will be held from 9 am to 11 am at the National Press Club and will begin with Sheldon Jones, Vice President of Farm Foundation, as he introduces each of the presenters, who will have fifteen minutes to speak, followed by a question session with moderator Charlie Stenholm, a former Congressman from Texas.
