The
U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service
(APHIS) Plant Protection and Quarantine Treatment Manual is adding a treatment
schedule for methyl bromide fumigation of kumquats to control fruit flies. The
Federal Register Notice is available here.
The
effective date is June 4, 2014.
The
original notice was announced on January 30 in the Federal Register Notice
Available here. The comment period
was open for 60 days.
The
methyl bromide treatment schedule is in accordance with regulations in §
305.3(b)(3).
