The
U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) adopted an interim final rule, without
change, that decreased the assessment rate established for the California Olive
Committee for 2014 and succeeding fiscal years. The Federal Register notice is
available here.
The
assessment rate will remain in effect indefinitely unless modified, suspended,
or terminated.
The
effective date is June 12, 2014.
