Senator Debbie Stabenow, Chairwoman
of the U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry, will
convene a hearing as part of the child nutrition reauthorization effort,
according to a U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry
available here.
The hearing is the first in a series
and will take place on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at 10 a.m. in room 328A of the
Russell Senate Office Building.
The hearing, A National
Priority: The Importance of Child Nutrition Programs to our Nation’s
Health, Economy and National Security,
will examine how child nutrition programs can help address the
challenges facing the nation such as national security, economic vitality, and
the health of children and families.
