The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) established an
exemption from the requirement of a tolerance for residues of sweet orange peel
tincture when used as an inert ingredient, not exceeding 10% (weight/weight),
in pesticide formulations to act as a surfactant, fragrance, and adjuvant on
all pre- and post-harvest food commodities.
This regulation eliminates the need to establish a maximum
permissible level for residues of sweet orange peel tincture.
The regulation went into effect August 15, 2014. Objections
and requests for hearing must be received by October 14, 2014.
