Maine Moves Ahead with More Wind Turbines

CNBC’s website is carrying a story from the Associated Press about a wind farm approval in Maine.

Environmental regulators in Maine have given approval for the construction of a 22-turbine wind farm that will be built along the ridgelines of Partridge Peak, Flathead Mountain, and Record Hill in Roxbury. The investors in the project include former independent two-term governor Angus King. King is developing the project with Robert Gardiner, who was the former head of Maine Public Broadcasting Group and was is also a former director of the Natural Resources Council of Maine.

The wind farm will be the fourth such major farm built in Maine.
