Legal Resource for Non-Profits Available Online

The Legal Clinic of the University of Arkansas School of Law, in partnership with the Care Foundation and the University of Arkansas Global Campus, have created a free legal resource aimed at providing reliable information to non-profit organizations.

The UA Legal e-Source project provides legal information to "assist non-profit organizations in both understanding of and compliance with state and federal laws giving non-profits the tools necessary to achieve and maintain non-profit status, freeing them to better focus on their non-profit mission."

Key features of the online resource include Frequently Asked Questions about non-profits, a glossary of terms, a 501(c)(3) eligibility self-assessment tool to help users determine where they are in the non-profit process and what steps are necessary to ensure compliance with the law, and video lectures on a variety of topics from bylaws to insurance needs.
