Siddiqui.  Before being appointed to the position of the Chief Agricultural Trade Negotiator for the U.S., Mr. Siddiqui was the vice-president for Science and Regulatory Affairs at CropLife America, a organization that lobbies on behalf of biotechnology and pesticide companies.  As the VP for Science and Regulatory Affairs, Mr. Siddiqui was responsible for international trade issues involving crop protection chemicals.  Prior to that, he had served as VP of biotechnology and trade for CropLife and in different political appointments in the Clinton administration.
