Biomass South 2010: A New Horizon Conference Update

The Biomass South 2010: A New Horizon Conference will feature a keynote debate on the future of Southern forests in bioenergy.

The conference will be held on Oct. 14-15 in Memphis, TN and will include discussion on the emerging bioeconomy, "provide objective analysis regarding the region's feedstocks and bioprocessing technologies," and facilitate collaboration between interested parties.

The keynote debate, "The Future of Southern Forests in Bioenergy" will cover the effect of the presence of a growing bioenergy industry on Southern forests.  The debate will be moderated by Brent Bailey and participants include Ron Bell, President of the Arkansas Association of Resource & Conservation District, and Scot Quaranda, Campaign Director of the Dogwood Alliance.
