Agriculture exports in fiscal year 2012 are expected to remain at $137 Billion; Imports to rise to $105 Billion

Last week, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Economic Research Service and Foreign Agricultural Service released its Outlook for U.S. Agricultural Trade Report.


The report projects 2012 U.S. agricultural exports at $137 billion, the same as the 2011 forecast. Overall, meat, dairy and poultry exports are projected up. The reports forecasts grain and feed exports to reach a record $39 billion in fiscal 2012, up $600 million from the 2011 estimate.


The report also projects total 2012 imports to rise to $105 billion.
