Last week, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Economic Research Service and Foreign Agricultural Service released its Outlook for U.S. Agricultural Trade Report.The report projects 2012 U.S. agricultural exports at $137 billion, the same as the 2011 forecast. Overall, meat, dairy and poultry exports are projected up. The reports forecasts grain and feed exports to reach a record $39 billion in fiscal 2012, up $600 million from the 2011 estimate.
The report also projects total 2012 imports to rise to $105 billion.
