The Farm Foundation Forum on Tuesday, Sept. 13, will focus on Data Collection on Agriculture in a Time of Fiscal Constraints

The Farm Foundation Forum will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the National Press Club, 529 14th St. NW, Washington D.C. There is no charge to participate in the Sept. 13 Forum, but registration is requested by noon Friday, Sept. 9.

According to the event announcement, "cutbacks in federal and state budgets bring into question the capacity of government entities to gather and analyze agricultural data." "At the same time, there is increasing demand for more information--and more specific information--on which to build business management and policy making decisions."

Event speakers will include: Scott Irwin of the University of Illinois; John Hays of the Farm Credit Council; Tom Wegner of Land O'Lakes; and Robert Young of the American Farm Bureau Federation.
